Piano Lessons
February 28, 2008
When I left the Philippines, one of the great traumas was what to do with the “stuff” we had accumulated over 20 years. Some of it was easy…hand me down furniture etc. that had all seen better days was sold cheap or given away. Val ran a garage sale selling off all the odds and ends to the Filipino community for pennies (pesos actually). Those pennies added up to a new crib for Bella! Boxes of “I still have to have” things were prepared for shipping. But one of my most precious possessions was my piano. It wasn’t anything great but as I had a piano (my mother’s) here in the U.S. there was no need to bring it home. So I told Val, if she promised to give Mackenzie (and the children to follow) piano lessons, the piano was hers to keep. True to her promise, here is Mackenzie having her first piano lesson. I am off to Iowa on Saturday!.

Have fun in Iowa! Give us a call while you’re there. Mackenzie will, I’m sure, tell you all about her piano lessons. Love you!

ALright, you’ve just had a trip to Iowa, a birthday, and company from the Philipppines. That’s PLENTY to blog about. I expect to see a post soon, young lady! =)
Love you!
